About Mikey

Born in 1998, Mikey was diagnosed with autism before he was 2 years old. His family were told that he would never amount to much and to put him in special education.  After 4 years in special education, it was decided that he should try home schooling.  At the age of 10 years he began to talk, and at 12 he started to play the piano. He is now an accomplished pianist, attends mainstream school part time and is an incredible son. In June 2014, aged 16, he started to paint.

 

Mikey's paintings are usually acrylic paint, and he will paint on thick (approx. 200-300+ grammes) paper or on canvas. He will sometimes accept commissions. Price on application.
